the freedom trail.

Boston, Charlestown Bridge (2009)
Vision & Inspiration: It’s not just any other red line. It’s an extraordinary line that led me to 16 significant historic sites in Boston.
you can do it.

Vietnam, Hanoi (2008)
Vision & Inspiration: The girl in yellow got to be the leader of a game. She was really shy but all her friends were cheering her on. And there I was, in the midst of her friends, doing the same as well. And eventually, she overcame her fear and did such a wonderful job. Amazing what can happen when someone believes in you.
Bang Pa-In.

Thailand, Ayutthaya (2009)
Vision & Inspiration: If only I could get across to the pavilion. But then again, some things are better appreciated from afar.
all set.

China, Yunan (2008)
Vision & Inspiration: This is Fu Shuang. She’s 3 and very gutsy. Everyone from the mission team loves her. I took a few shots of Fu Shuang during my stay at the village (which will be posted in the upcoming entries) and she’s such a natural. Don’t you think?
rocky road.

Indonesia, Bintan (2009)
Vision & Inspiration: Climbing up the rocks was rather grueling, albeit the cliff was small. And because the edges of the rocks were sharp and uneven, we ended up with a few cuts on our feet. But as soon as we reached the top of the cliff, the pain and tiredness meant nothing more than just red blotches and sweat. Likewise, the road of life is rocky. It is only through the downs that we see the ups.
paint & mess.

Vietnam, Hanoi (2008)
Vision & Inspiration: And indeed, Art is all about the mess.
a single roof.

Singapore, Fort Canning (2009)
Vision & Inspiration: There’s always a certain unique charm in B/W photography. It brings out details and unifies everything under a single roof. And that, I find fascinating.
meow.

Boston, Long Wharf (2009)
Vision & Inspiration: I just love it when children get their faces painted. With a class of my own, I reckoned it would be great to have a “Paint our Faces” day once a month. Imagine a classroom filled with different characters. It’s gonna be a blast!
frail.

Cambodia, Phnom Penh (2008)
Vision & Inspiration: The poor kitten was severely malnourished. A few children at the orphanage saw the kitten, picked it up and took care of it. A week later, the kitten started looking well and healthy. Children have the biggest hearts.
splish splash.

Singapore, Vivo City (2009)
Vision & Inspiration: Who knew splashing water could be this fun?
