we love walks.

Indonesia, Bintan (2009)
Vision & Inspiration: Watching children and their parents spend time together never fails to make my day.
i love the lens.

Vietnam, Hanoi (2008)
Vision & Inspiration: This little boy came up to me and was simply intrigued by the camera. He stood really close and followed wherever my lens pointed. Such a darling one, ain’t he?
on the other side.

Cambodia, Phnom Penh (2008)
Vision & Inspiration: During my stay at the orphanage, I made friends with a boy on the other side of the fence. He was always on a bicycle and he enjoyed watching the orphans play. Everyday, I will wait at the same spot, same time just to wave and say hello. Sometimes he would turn up, and sometimes he don’t.
in the midst.

Melbourne, St. Kilda (2009)
Vision & Inspiration: In the midst of all the chaos, thank you for bringing me out to the beach that day. A quiet noon and a good brunch was what I needed.
beautiful soul.

Boston, Wheelock College (2009)
Vision & Inspiration: We have known each other for 5 years now. But we only became the best of friends last year. I thank God for this beautiful friendship and it is amazing how comfortable we are with each other. I have learned so much from you and the times we spent together in Boston will always stay with me.
want to play?

China, Yunan (2008)
Vision & Inspiration: Taking a break from all the bricks-carrying, I wandered off to explore the rest of the village. I met this little boy who was having lots of fun just by twirling a rope in his tiny hand. At that moment, rope-twirling definitely seemed more promising than bricks-carrying.
jello.

Thailand, Phitsanulok (2009)
Vision & Inspiration: Was simply intrigued by how gel-like the water seemed.
never too young to learn.

Boston, Maverick (2009)
Vision & Inspiration: Just before I stepped into the classroom, I was greeted with a poster that says, “When you enter this little room, consider yourself as one of the special members of a group who enjoys working and learning”. What a great poster. Don’t you think?
down the middle.

Thailand, Phitsanulok (2009)
Vision & Inspiration: Love old-school train tracks; especially the ones that run down the middle of a street.
somewhere down the road.

Cambodia, Phnom Penh (2008)
Vision & Inspiration: This has to be my all-time favorite shot. I went on a stroll outside the orphanage one noon. After 10 minutes or so, I sensed that I was being followed. I turned and saw these beautiful children. As I walked, they walked. And when I stopped, they followed suit. At the end of the day, we walked down the road together with no exchange of words; just plenty of smiles and giggles. And that to me made the experience all the more beautiful and memorable.
