solitude.

Indonesia, Bintan (2008)
Vision & Inspiration: This isn’t a posed shot. The best friend is simply a natural. She was deep in her thoughts and watching her from a distance was delightful. I can’t helped but lingered around to capture the beautiful moment.
shade phobia.

Thailand, Bangkok (2009)
Vision & Inspiration: Bangkok in December is sunny, as compared to Phitsanulok. As I was walking along the streets of Bangkok (all sticky & sweaty), I saw a piece of graffiti and found it pretty amusing. Go figure!
sow & reap.

Thailand, Phitsanulok (2009)
Vision & Inspiration: Harvesting is the best time of the year for farmers. Seeing this large paddy field, I was reminded of 2 Corinthians 9:6 , “Whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows generously will also reap generously.”
mid-air.

Singapore, Fort Canning (2009)
Vision & Inspiration: During the “Black & White Photography” session organized by the National Museum of Singapore, participants were encouraged to explore and shoot anything at Fort Canning Park. I soon got restless from shooting buildings, trees. Walking around, I saw a stick. Threw it, and voilà!
en route.

Boston, Columbia Point (2009)
Vision & Inspiration: The way to JFK Presidential Library & Museum. While most visitors were busy capturing shots of the beautiful sea, I was simply intrigued by the gradual curve formed by the stones.
nepal beckons.

Thailand, Ayutthaya (2009)
Vision & Inspiration: I took one last look at the temple as I waited for the driver. The first thought I had when I lifted my head was “Nepal”. I’ve been thinking about Nepal since the start of 2009. And somehow, the colors and the flags reminded me very much of the beautiful country I hope to set foot in sometime this year. Fingers crossed!
tea-rrific.

China, Yunan (2008)
Vision & Inspiration: The view reminded me very much of Sapa. When you’re up there, you just want to stay and not move. On the very same day, I even had a go at plucking tea leaves with the locals! Great experience.
a beautiful bond.

Vietnam, Hanoi (2008)
Vision & Inspiration: I met this little girl on my first day at the kindergarten. We connected instantly, albeit the language barrier. We spent almost everyday together; playing, learning each other’s language, lunching. The best times I had in Hanoi.
anticipation.

Indonesia, Bintan (2009)
Vision & Inspiration: We thought we would not have the chance to sink our feet into the sand and sea. But God stopped the rain, cleared the sky and gave us sunshine. Great and mighty is He.
the obvious.

Boston, Coolidge Corner (2009)
Vision & Inspiration: The sky was exceptionally clear that evening; which made the sign stood out from a distance. The first thing I noticed, as I left the restaurant with an empty stomach and a great friend in tow.
